Mask

a house on the river

waves lap at the door

red grass smiles tall

sunrise brush-strokes paint purple

diamonds glitter

on noon’s proud chest

radiant peacocks open petals

winged dahlias in twilight bloom

earth bathes in a rain of stars

chirping birds perched on moon

rainbow across the night sky

all unseen, unheard,

beneath

the masked surface.

Dear Ma'am,

I recently read in an archived article about your interest in promoting poetry among youth.
In my enthusiasm, I wish to participate in any such collaboration or initiative you might be taking up.

Poetry happened to me by chance and the more I am exposed to the crude realities of life as beautifully designated in your poems and the subtle touch of philosophical emotionalism, the more i'm drawn to poetry.

I am looking forward from hearing you.

Thank you.
